From Page to Screen: The Boys in the Boat In-Person
Come watch a popular and recent movie that was adapted from a book! There will be a brief discussion of the book before the movie and, if time permits, a discussion about the movie adaptation. You do not need to read the book to enjoy the movie. This is a three-part book and movie series led by librarian Ben Hanley. Registration is recommended.
Tuesday, April 29 - The Boys in the Boat
The movie is based on Daniel James Brown's book, The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.
A 1930s-set story centered on the University of Washington's rowing team, from their Depression-era beginnings.
