Valentine's Film Lecture: The Awful Truth In-Person
Love is in the air! Join film buff and librarian, Doug Swiszcz on Wednesday, February 15 at 1 pm for a special Valentine's Film Lecture on The Awful Truth (1937).
Cary Grant and Irene Dunne play an urbane, married couple who doubt each other's fidelity. After filing for divorce, both rush into new relationships, but while waiting for the divorce decree to become final, they realize that letting go of one another is not as easy as they thought it would be. Nominated for 6 Academy Awards, director Leo McCarey (Going My Way, An Affair To Remember) picked up a statuette for his work. Co-starring Ralph Bellamy.
