Film Lecture Series: Horror & Suspense From Page to Screen - Rosemary's Baby In-Person

From the pages of the masters of horror and suspense comes a film series to die for presented by Doug Swiszcz, the library's resident film buff. This four-part film lecture series will take place every Wednesday in October at 1 pm and each film will be preceded by a short film lecture by Doug. Be afraid... be very afraid.

October 12 – Rosemary’s Baby

A young couple (Mia Farrow, John Cassavetes) moves into an ominous gothic apartment building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Their neighbors (Ruth Gordon, Sidney Blackmer) are friendly but eccentric. When the wife, Rosemary, conceives a child, she experiences an uneasy pregnancy. Before long, paranoia over the safety of her unborn child begins to control her life. Based on the novel by Ira Levin.
