POSTPONED - Late Summer Paddle on Hundred Acre Cove

POSTPONED - Late Summer Paddle on Hundred Acre Cove In-Person

Due to the rainy weather, this event has been POSTPONED! We will update with new date as soon as we know.

Join the Barrington Land Conservation Trust and members of the Appalachian Mountain Club for a paddle at Hundred Acre Cove on Tuesday, September 13 at 10 am. Participants can choose to paddle up the Runnins River and back, a 6 mile trip, or around the Cove. Hundred Acre Cove is the third largest salt marsh estuary in Rhode Island and is home to important wildlife and numerous water birds.

Bring your own kayak/canoe and PFD (Personal Flotation Device). A PFD is required for participation. Severe wind or rain cancels the event. No beginners, please.

We will touch off from Walker Farm which is located .3 mile north of the Barrington Congregational Church (White Church) at 461 County Rd. Parking will be limited due to construction at Walker Farm, so please carpool if possible. Parking is also available at the Park n Ride next to the White Church.

Free and open to adults.

By registering for this event, you agree to the following: You are participating at your own risk. Barrington Public Library and Barrington Land Conservation Trust are not responsible for any bodily harm or damage to personal belongings due to participation. You are also certifying that you are NOT a beginner and have the knowledge and skills to participate in this paddle independently and without assistance from anyone else.
