Join us on Thursday nights at 6:30 pm in June for a very special Pride Film Lecture Series. Organized by librarians, Doug Swiszcz, Ben Hanley, and Siobhan Egan, this film series will feature four films that tell important LGBTQ+ stories.


About Carol:

Therese Belivet (Rooney Mara) spots the beautiful, elegant Carol (Cate Blanchett) perusing the doll displays in a 1950s Manhattan department store. The two women develop a fast bond that becomes a love with complicated consequences.

Directed by Todd Haynes with screenplay by Phyllis Nagy. Based on the 1952 romance novel The Price of Salt by Patricia Highsmith (republished as Carol in 1990).
