Emily Barnes - Free Concert In-Person
Join us at the Barrington Public Library for a live concert with singer-songwriter Emily Barnes on Wednesday, February 18 at 6:30 pm.
Hailing from a town so tiny it isn't found on most maps, Emily Barnes began writing songs on the stone steps of her 200 year old home in Johnsonburg, New Jersey. With a voice that cuts to the bone and songs that tug on the heartstrings, Barnes has the ability to turn any room into a listening room. She has built a grassroots following the old fashioned way...from her small town, to the big cities, one new listener at a time. Her songs are both intimately personal and universally human and linger long after the last note. Compared to the likes of modern day songwriters like Brandi Carlile as well as classic folk songbirds such as Joan Baez and Emmylou Harris, she is carving out a space that is wholly her own in the modern folk landscape.
This free concert is the perfect opportunity to enjoy live music in a relaxed, welcoming library setting. Bring a friend, discover a new favorite artist, and experience an evening of music at the library.
Free and open to all. Registration is required.
