2026 Bookmark Design Contest Workshop In-Person
Help us design our Official 2026 Bookmarks!
Stop by the Makerspace and use our craft supplies to create an entry for our 2026 Bookmark Design Contest! This year, we are partnering with the Barrington 250 Committee to help celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. In honor of this partnership, our theme for this year is: Libraries: Always Revolutionary.
Things to think about when designing your bookmark: How does your library inspire big ideas or spark change? How does your library helps people imagine a better world? How does reading and learning make our country strong and free? How does the library help everyone have a voice and share their ideas?
We will be holding several workshops in January:
- Friday, January 2 from 1 - 3 pm
- Saturday, January 3 from 10 am - 12 pm
- Monday, January 5 from 1 - 3 pm
- Wednesday, January 7 from 4 - 7 pm
- Tuesday, January 13 from 1 - 3 pm
- Thursday, January 15 from 6 - 8 pm
- Wednesday, January 21 from 10 am - 12 pm
- Monday, January 26 from 6 - 8 pm
- Thursday, January 29 from 3 - 5 pm
- Saturday, January 31 from 10 am - 12 pm
These workshops are all drop-in - no registration required!
Please note: you will be asked to leave your bookmark with us after the workshop. We can return your original bookmark to you after the contest is over if you want it!
Don't have time to attend a workshop? You can also pick up a blank bookmark and entry form from any service desk in the library. Then return your bookmark and entry form to us. Four winners will be chosen and we will have their designs printed and given out starting in March 2026!
Open to all ages - kids, teens, and adults!
Deadline for submissions: Saturday, January 31
