A Reading & A Greeting: "Levi A Barrington Hero"

A Reading & A Greeting: "Levi A Barrington Hero" In-Person

Stop by and say hi to Dr. John Passante, longtime Barrington resident and author of Levi A Barrington Hero. This charming children's book highlights Levi, Barrington Police Department's first comfort dog with adorable illustrations by students from St. Luke's School. Officer Mike (Levi's Handler) & Levi will be on hand for photo opportunities while 5th graders from St. Luke's School read excerpts from Levi A Barrington Hero.

Books will be available for signing and purchase, with proceeds benefitting BreakthroughT1D, formerly JDRF, a not-for-profit organization with a mission to cure, prevent, and treat T1D in people of all ages. Breakthrough T1D funds research, advocates for better treatments, and supports the T1D community.

This stop-in, drop-in community event is free and open to all ages and abilities. While registration is not required to attend, please note it is first-come-first-served. Donations to BreakthroughT1D are not required but are appreciated.
