Join the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee on Wednesday, September 24 at 6:30 pm for a screening of Descendant, Documentary filmmaker Margaret Brown returns to her hometown of Mobile, Alabama to document the search for and historic discovery of The Clotilda, the last known ship to arrive in the United States, illegally carrying enslaved Africans.

There will be two showings of this film. Register for the Sunday, September 21 at 1 pm screening HERE.

Free and open to all. Registration is recommended but not required.

About the Documentary:

Descendants of the survivors from the Clotilda celebrate their heritage and take command of their legacy, as the discovery of the remains of the last-known slave ship to arrive in the United States offers them a tangible link to their ancestors.
