Winter Cookbook Club - Book Discussion In-Person
Adults are invited to join us for the Winter Session of cookbook club! This group will meet twice for the Winter Session on Tuesday, January 6 at 6 pm for our cookbook discussion and again on Tuesday, January 20 at 6 pm for our potluck dinner. Both meetings will take place in the Collis Family Gallery on the second floor of the library.
In our first meeting, we will discuss the author, book introduction, layout, and recipe map, and then set the menu for the next meeting and decide who will bring what. Then for our second meeting, everyone will make a dish at home, and bring it to our potluck dinner.
You must attend BOTH sessions! When you register below you are signing up for both days - January 6 and January 20.
The book for Winter 2025 is Martha Stewart's Slow Cooker. Once you register, you can pick up a copy of the book at the Circulation Desk. You can also purchase the book yourself if you wish. Please have your book ready for the Tuesday, January 6 meeting. You will be expected to have read the Foreword, Basics, Slow Cooker Commandments, and How to Use a Slow Cooker sections as well as looked through the rest of the book and have an idea of a few dishes you would like to make. It's always good to have a backup dish in case someone chooses the one you wanted!
Free and open to adults.
