First Friday Documentary Series: Free For All: The Public Library In-Person
Join us for our new monthly documentary series, kicking off on the first Friday of each month at 1 pm! Each month, we’ll feature a compelling, thought-provoking documentary exploring a range of topics—from culture and history to current events and human stories.
We will be kicking off this series on Friday, June 6 at 1 pm with a screening of Free for All: The Public Library (2025).
Free for All: The Public Library tells the story of the quiet revolutionaries who made a simple idea happen. From the pioneering women behind the “Free Library Movement” to today's librarians who service the public despite working in a contentious age of closures and book bans, meet those who created a civic institution where everything is free and the doors are open to all.
2025 - 1 hr 24 mins - Not Rated
This screening is free and open to all. Registration is recommended.
This screening is made possible by ITVS, CPB, and PBS.
