PLEASE NOTE: Due to weather and equipment concerns we have canceled all our Outdoor Movies for 2024. We will be offering indoor family movies every Friday at 10 am through the end of August (except Friday, August 2). Please see calendar for more details.
Enjoy a fun family movie outside in Library Cove! We will be showing My Neighbor Totoro on Thursday, August 1.
The movie will start at sunset (around 8 pm) and will take place in Library Cove behind the library. We will have free popcorn and bug spray while supplies last but feel free to bring your own snacks and a blanket or chair to sit on.
No registration required.
About the Movie
This acclaimed animated tale by director Hayao Miyazaki follows schoolgirl Satsuke and her younger sister, Mei, as they settle into an old country house with their father and wait for their mother to recover from an illness in an area hospital. As the sisters explore their new home, they encounter and befriend playful spirits in their house and the nearby forest, most notably the massive cuddly creature known as Totoro.
