Welcome to Barrington Public Library's Makerspace class, where we will be celebrating National Pets Month in May by combining creativity and technology to make unique keepsakes. In this class, we will be using Canva, a user-friendly graphic design platform, to create designs for our favorite pet photos. Then, we'll use the state-of-the-art Glowforge machine to engrave our designs onto 2 by 3-inch pieces of wood. 

Our experienced instructors will provide step-by-step guidance on how to use Canva to create personalized designs that reflect your pet's unique personality and style. Once your design is complete, we'll move onto using the Glowforge after class to bring your creation to life. The Glowforge uses a laser to engrave your design onto the wood, resulting in a stunning and unique piece of art. Once the projects are finished, we will contact you to pick up your beautiful pet portrait. 

Whether you are a seasoned maker or new to the world of digital design and laser engraving, this class is perfect for pet lovers of all skill levels. We'll provide all the materials and equipment needed to make your personalized pet portrait, so all you need to bring is your creativity, some pictures, and love for your furry friend.
