Holiday Film Lecture: The Shop Around the Corner In-Person
Celebrate the holiday season with librarian Doug Swiszcz as he presents the romantic comedy The Shop Around the Corner on Wednesday, December 13th at 1 pm. Brief commentary will precede the film.

About the Film:
In pre-World War II Budapest, Hungary, two employees working at a gift shop during the yuletide season can barely stand each other, without realizing that they are falling in love through correspondence as each other's anonymous pen pal. Directed by Ernst Lubitsch, this film was remade in 1998 as You've Got Mail. Starring James Stewart, Margaret Sullavan, and Frank Morgan.
